ELISA & GREG’S UK TO BYRON BAY ELOPEMENT

Bride and groom at Byron Bay lighthouse on windy day with sea in background

Elisa and Greg came all the way from the UK, with their parents, to elope on a Wednesday in Byron Bay. They exchanged vows and popped some Champagne in the gorgeous gardens of Barefoot at Broken Head before heading down to the beach and Byron’s famous lighthouse for photos.

WHAT WE LOVED

Elisa and Greg love to travel, so when it came to planning how they would get married, combining their nuptials with a holiday in Byron Bay made a lot of sense. Bringing their parents along for the ride made it all the more special. What a way to create lasting, meaningful memories with the people who mean the most to you. Plus they are sure to celebrate with their extended crew when they get back home.

WHAT WE LEARNED

Rain is not the only weather even that can cause you to change your plans. Elisa and Greg originally planned to get married on the beach, however some very windy weather (not uncommon at this particular time of year) meant they moved their ceremony into the gardens of their accommodation. This meant they were sheltered from the elements where their guests could actually hear them, Elisa’s hair did not fly in her face or her veil take off down the beach. Of course they still headed to the beach for photos afterwards, where the wind added some welcome movement and energy (with some cheeky results).

Congratulations Elisa and Greg. And thank you for being our first Byron Bay Weekday Wedded Bliss couple!
