Niwa & Bastien’s Wedding at Public Dining, Balmoral Beach

Niwa and Bastien combined ease and elegance for their restaurant wedding at Public Dining on Sydney’s stunning Balmoral Beach.

Their Sydney micro-wedding came together quickly to align with Bastien’s parents visiting from France. They chose Public Dining at Balmoral Beach as their venue for several reasons—delicious food and wine, a private dining room with views over the beach, an undercover terrace for their ceremony (no stress about the weather), and access to one of Sydney’s prettiest and most loved beaches for their photos.

They opted to hold their ceremony on the restaurant’s terrace for convenience but could have just as easily chosen one of the beach’s gorgeous old fig trees nearby.

Niwa and Bastien asked us to help them create a ceremony that was respectful of their cultural backgrounds, not over the top, yet still meaningful and memorable.

Sticking with their theme of ease, elegance, and a focus on family, they had their couple portrait session before the ceremony, allowing them to move straight into celebrations and a delicious long lunch with their guests afterward.
