Lisa and John’s wedding at the iconic Quay restaurant on Sydney Harbour was planned around the values of family, culture, and creating an unforgettable experience for their guests.
Their day began as they prepared together at the Langham Hotel, just a short drive from Quay. They had the entire upstairs Green Room to themselves, which they transformed into their ultimate wedding venue.
The celebration commenced with their version of a traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony, where Lisa and John served tea to their loved ones and received blessings in return. John’s late father was honoured during the ceremony, with his photo on display throughout the day, ensuring he was acknowledged for the special place he holds in John’s and many of their guests’ hearts.
After a quick costume change while their guests enjoyed cocktails and one of the most breathtaking views of the harbour, Lisa and John’s civil ceremony took place on the terrace directly outside the Green Room. Against the backdrop of the CBD and the sails of the Sydney Opera House, Lisa and John shared their wedding vows, said “I do,” and exchanged wedding rings before heading off with their photographer for a couple’s portrait session around Sydney Harbour and The Rocks.
Upon their return, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed an exquisite meal at Quay, arguably one of Sydney’s best restaurants. Providing their guests with an incredible fine dining experience was Lisa and John’s way of showing their appreciation and giving back to the people who have supported them throughout their lives.
