Embracing the buzz of Sydney’s Surry Hills, Hannah and Todd’s wedding at Tilly Mays was carefully crafted so that every detail held special meaning and significance. The date was Hannah’s grandparents wedding anniversary, the inner-city location was a must for these city slickers, they invited each guest to choose a song that was meaningful to them for their ceremony and Hannah now wears a family heirloom, her grandmother’s wedding ring as her wedding band (and her grandmother was their ring bearer).
This wedding proves that you can have a wedding that feels laid back, looks a million bucks and is still jam packed with meaning. What made their wedding so relaxed? First, they checked themselves into Paramount House Hotel (just five minutes from their ceremony venue) where they got ready together on the morning of their wedding day. Their photographer Sam met them at their hotel and they took all their couple portraits before their ceremony when Hannah’s hair and makeup was fresh and neither of them had happy-cried yet. Then they jumped in an Uber five minutes up the road to Tilly Mays where their very small group of guests awaited them. And after their ceremony they literally headed straight to the bar to begin their celebrations.
